On the weekend of June 2nd 2023, the Clinical Trials Navigation (CTN) program that is focused on helping patients find clinical trial opportunities had the pleasure to present their work at the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) in Chicago, Illinois.
We are pleased to share that our Poster was in the top 13 in its division, expanding on the importance of clinical trials and its effect on patient outcomes. During their poster presentation, the Clinical Trial Navigators (CTNs) had multiple interactions with medical doctors and researchers from across the world relaying the findings of their research, where of the 261 patients in the program, 26% of patients were referred out to clinical trials and 8% were successfully enrolled onto a clinical trial in Canada.
The importance of the program and the study was widely acknowledged, and the navigators were congratulated on this important work that leads to saving more lives and advancing medicine.
